Is the 2019 Lexus LX a Good Used SUV?
The 2019 Lexus LX 570 is a decent option if you’re shopping for a used luxury large SUV. The LX is outfitted with lots of standard safety features, and its interior is dressed to the nines. The LX also rides quite comfortably on uneven pavement, and it has good off-road ability.

However, its drawbacks are as numerous as its perks. The LX has a distracting infotainment system, poor gas mileage, and ponderous handling. Its engine struggles to move the hefty LX around, as well.

Before you buy, check out higher-ranked alternatives like the 2019 BMW X7 and 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS. Both offer nicer driving dynamics, better fuel economy, and simpler infotainment systems.

What Does Lexus’ Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Cover?
Lexus offers a certified pre-owned program for vehicles five years old or less and with fewer than 70,000 miles. Eligibility is determined by the vehicle’s initial sale date. For its certified pre-owned vehicles, Lexus extends its original new-car warranty to six years or unlimited mileage. From the day you purchase or lease your Lexus CPO vehicle, you receive complimentary maintenance covering the next four factory-recommended services for two years or 20,000 miles. Every CPO Lexus must pass a 161-point inspection. Additional benefits like loaner cars, towing, and roadside assistance may be available, so read the Lexus warranty page carefully.

2019 Lexus LX Versus the Competition
Which Is Better: 2019 Lexus LX or 2019 Lexus GX?
The 2019 Lexus GX 460 is a luxury midsize SUV. It may look similar to the LX on the outside, but these SUVs are quite different. The GX has an outdated interior, mundane cabin materials, mediocre cargo space, and a jittery ride quality. Its rear seats aren’t very comfortable either. The GX does rate highly for predicted reliability. Still, the LX is the better option.

Which Is Better: 2019 Lexus LX or 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser?
The 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser has a lot in common with the LX 570. Both of these luxury large SUVs share the same engine and transmission, similar dimensions, and many of the same tech and safety features. Both offer comparable seating space, as well. We think the Land Cruiser is the better pick for many shoppers. It boasts an easier-to-use infotainment system, a heftier towing capacity, and slightly sharper handling than the LX.

2019 LX Performance
How Does the 2019 Lexus LX Drive?
The 2019 LX 570 provides a lackluster driving experience. Its adaptive suspension soaks up bumps and dips in the road, but it does little to reign in the SUV’s body lean, and the LX feels rather cumbersome around sharp turns. Its vague steering and spongy brake pedal don’t inspire confidence, either.

The LX’s V8 engine earns mixed reviews. It operates smoothly and quietly, but it has to wrestle with the SUV’s substantial three-ton weight. As a result, acceleration and passing power are merely adequate. Going from zero to 60 mph takes just over seven seconds. The eight-speed automatic transmission changes gears smoothly, though it’s occasionally hesitant to downshift.

The LX 570 comes standard with four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, high- and low-range gearing, and multiple traction control modes. This hardware makes the LX a capable rig for occasional off-road driving, but its low-profile tires and low-hanging bumpers limit the types of trails this SUV can traverse.

Engine: 5.7-liter V8 with 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque
Drivetrain: four-wheel drive
Transmission: eight-speed automatic
Does the 2019 Lexus LX Get Good Gas Mileage?
The 4WD LX 570 gets an EPA-estimated 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. These ratings are awful for a luxury large SUV.

2019 Lexus LX Towing Capacity
The LX 570 can tow up to 7,000 pounds when properly equipped.

2019 LX Interior
How Many People Does the 2019 LX Seat?
The 2019 LX 570 has two seating configurations: a two-row model with five seats and a three-row model with eight seats.

The front seats are softly padded and supportive, and they provide sufficient head- and legroom, even for taller occupants. The wide range of seat and steering wheel adjustments makes it easy to find a comfortable driving position. The second row is similarly comfortable and spacious for adults. However, the third row is pretty cramped. It’s best reserved for kids.

The LX’s interior is handsomely styled, and it filters out almost all road and wind noise. Most cabin materials have a quality look and feel, as well.

Standard seating features:

Leather upholstery
Second-row bench seat
Available seating features:

Third-row bench seat
Heated and ventilated first-row seats
Heated and ventilated second-row seats
How Many Child Car Seats Fit in the 2019 Lexus LX?

2019 Lexus LX Features
The LX 570 comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. There are simple buttons and knobs on the dashboard that manage the basic audio and climate functions. Most other tasks are controlled by a sensitive joystick on the center console. Lexus calls this setup Remote Touch, and it’djusteditioning functionster mouse.basic audio and climate controls, but everything else is conely l, and low-speed crawl contrs quite distracting to use while driving. It’s a bit like using a computer mouse. Also, the screen isn’t touch sensitive, and it lacks popular features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Standard infotainment features: a 12.3-inch display, a navigation system, HD Radio, satellite radio, a nine-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and USB ports
Available infotainment features: wireless device charging, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.6-inch displays, and a 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system
